    *March 2010 theme: "Hinamatsuri (Japanese Doll Festival/Girls' Day)"*

    Celebrations - Day of the .......



    For March, participants are invited to pick a "Day" that's celebrated this month, and interpret or be inspired by it.

    A short list is provided below, or feel free to choose a more obscure one if you know of it!

    Dolls Day / Girls Day

    For my project this month I made fern some tiny kokeshi dolls.

    they're really little... I'm having severe flickr issues! you can see them a little better on my flickr: dolls day

    What are they made off?

    Fern looks perfect in this setting, pastel colors look lovely on (and around) her..

    oh wow Monika, i love those photos, awwwww those kokeshi dolls are sooooo cute! ♥
    and look at Fern's kimono, i love it!
    (by the way, if you go to one of your photos on flickr, then "all sizes", then choose "medium" and scroll down to "Grab the photo's URL" then you should have the medium size. or you might even use the original size.)

    Wow, I love this. Those tiny Kokeshi dolls are so cute I just cant' stand it. And great photo too. And Fern what can we say beautiful as always

    The folding screen turned out beautifully. The dolls are precious! That was a neat idea. Awesome.
