The little dolls are adorable, and the screen looks wonderful. And Fern (sigh) is, as always, perfection...

Awwwww, you all melt my heart!! Let me quickly answer some of your delightful questions:

I made the kokeshi from sculpey - believe me, I was not about to hand carve them all!!
They re then painted with acrylics, and sealed with matt varnish.

I am super happy with how perfect the make-shift screen turned out. It's the correct scale, doesn't look too bulky, and I can change the paper whenever I want :-)

annina - thank you flickr-pro!! I shall take your advice into instant action (soon!)

    Wow Mayple,

I know I'm a little late in seeing your pictures--but they are so very brilliant, I had to comment. Your Kokeshi are perfect; I love all the different expressions they have. Is that a Russian nested doll snuck in there too, as a tribute to Marina?
The book of my enemy has been remaindered
    And I am pleased.

Yes, it's a little matryoshka.. not done deliberately as a tribute to marina - I've been painting my own (real life sized) matryoshka and kokeshi, that's where I got the idea to make fern a set, too

How neat is this, Kokeshi are perfect, along with the Matyroshka, and perfect size and scale of everything. They are all so cute--my other little dolls are jealous of these! I really like the screen, and Fern looks so pretty in her blue kimono. Is there nothing she doesn't look good in? Did you make the kimono too?

Yes, I made the Kimono - funny story. I made it about 8 years ago, long before I had ever heard of enchanted dolls, long before I had a doll this size. And now it fits fern really well, hurray!

edit: the photo's on page one are now normal sized, I had some help :-)
