good source for reasonably priced freshwater pearls?

I need a BUNCH to finish a costume for my RED and they are just so expensive- I've seen some cheaper ones on etsy but they are so lumpy and I just don't think they will look nice, do you?

Does anyone have a shop that offers killer deals on drilled freshwater pearls? Who do you recommend?

good source for reasonably priced freshwater pearls?

For freshwater pearls 2mm and up I use Bruna Ferrari Bead in the Los Angeles fashion district. I don't know for sure they are the cheapest, but the pearls are a pretty consistent quality and shape.

I usually just go there in person when I visit LA on business trips, but they told me I can also order by phone or online.

For the smallest pearls I have no truly regular source, I just go to bead shows and hope for the best.

    Good luck!

Aw- I live in Seattle now- although I last lived in San Francisco- so a meet would have been great!

If you are ever visiting Seattle, let me know!

Also- I ordered a bunch of stuff from that website- the pearls were a bit larger than I had wanted but might work anyway and I got some other fun crystals and things too which will keep me occupied

    Yes, I will!

They don't have everything on the website, so it might be better to call for the smallest ones. But they don't have the 1mm pearls. Those are so hard to find!

http://caravanbeads.com/p/1008-DP28-...am-Ceylon.aspx Unfortunately I haven't been able to locate genuine pearls in this size and shape.

Here is a link for the teardrop & small pearls that are on my crown. They are not real, but look very good. I thought they were real. If you look at BelleNolia's flikr site you can see them on the ED & Popovy crown she created.

I know the gemstones are real because I picked them out from another site of gemstones Mai sent me--including saphires & emeralds.

Don't think that they have 1mm pearls here, but....

Maybe this will help with other things too? They have all kinds of goodies!
