    Experimenting on new butterfly cape

I am testing making a cape from chiffon using some pretty butterfly prints .. Could look ok! Seaming the chiffon is darn fiddly though.

I am also experimenting using tapatalk ..... Liking the fact I don't need to use Flickr!

    Experimenting on new butterfly cape

Adding a skirt, interesting progress seeing how the layers are coming together.

So pretty! I like that look-

Did you have them printed or did you find the material somewhere? Have you checked out spoonflower yet? You can basically upload any pattern you want to be printed on an array of fabrics- it really is quite addicting... (they even added plush lately although the pile is very short).

Oh that's awesome you can print it yourself! I like the ethereal look that your print has

There is this GORGEOUS monarch dress that is sometimes up in the Luly Yang shop I walk by on the way to work. It is such a gorgeous over-the-top fashion, I love it. But I think that maybe a RED would find more times to wear it than me probably

    Tadaaaa .. finished product.
Bottom line is .. I just dont like sewing ... these booties took me a whole day and shouldn't have!
The trio layer of monarch wings was fun though - satin, organza and chiffon with leather booties.
