    Making a Chair

I was thinking about chairs I love, to lounge on, to sprawl in. Apart from fabulous chairs that belong in Modern Art Museums, my most favourite chair was a babasan chair that my brother brought back from his travels. You could curl up, sleep, adjust the angle. It was a super chair.

This style of chair came in 3 sizes, Papa, Mama and Baba.

So I wanted to design this on a small scale that would suit an Enchanted Doll. An ED size. I want to make something chic and simple.

I am going to powder coat it a muted gold, (though it could be powder coated any colour) and make a cushion. It will need a special cushion.

It means my ED can curl up or lounge.

I may tweak the design and make another a little smaller... and I have to get making a cushion.

What do you think? Any thoughts?

    Thank you kindly Dina!
I discovered all the classic chairs were being made under license, I didn't want to infringe on any copyright by copying one.
So I designed this inspired by a favourite childhood chair!

Today the chair was powder-coated a muted gold. It's very subtle and I must say I am pleased with progress so far. Cushion making or thinking about cushioning next!

So I made a cushion, which I will need to remake as it's a bit small. I also made a cushion making wig for my cushion assistant. She is still without a name when she gets her name and is glossed a bit I will share more of her on a thread. She is wearing brown eyes today and channeling yolandi visser in her own demure way.
